Our Lucaya confusion...

im looking for more info on Our lucaya beach resort that is across from the market place and next to Billy Joes shack. i would like a day pass for a resort while in freeport but cant find "Our Lucaya Resort"...

Looks like it has been taken over by Radisson and is now called the Grand Lucayan Bahamas Beach Resort.

I didn't have any luck finding info about a day pass though.

when you get into town, ask the taxi to take you to Our Lucaya, they drop you off in front of a hotel, you walk around the hotel to the beach area and thats free, we do it everytime we go, you only need passes if you want to use the hotel pools, the ocean is lovely, never had the need for the pools, but either of the two hotels there sells day passes, I believe one is a Sheraton, but not sure.

They like to'rebrand' themselves with new names every few years,lol. I agree with the other post, the beaches are beautiful, no need to pay for the pools.

We were there and enjoyed the area- away from town (Freeport) with many shops across the street- the marketplace is fun and the hotels and beaches nice.

Can short snorkeling tours be hired from the area by Our Lucaya?

I read on another thread that lucaya in now charging $30pp as of ~May 2012. Is this true? Has anyone one been there in recent months?
