Need some Ideas for Post Cruise

Hi all, we are coming back on Feb. 19 from a 7 day cruise on Glory. Our flight back home is at FLL. The flight doesn't leave until 3:30 the next day. So we have over a day in the Miami/ Ft. Lauderdale area. I think we will rent a car but don't know that much about the area as this is our first time there. I've read a lot of posts here and got some ideas. I don't know if I should keep the car more than 24 hours. When I look at the rates, they really go up just for a few more hours. Any ideas anyone? Thanks.

When you rent a car keeping it about 3 hours past the 24 hour mark generally equals another full day rental. :(

 

I'd try to have lunch & people watch in South Beach, and then head north to either Hollywood or Fort Lauderdale - where you'll find great beaches, water taxi, shopping, dining, & lots of other options. Hotels there are usually a little more reasonable than those in either downtown Miami or Miami Beach. Good luck! :)

Thanks, I think we won't get in a hurry to get off the ship. Go ahead and rent a car later so I won't have to pay for two days rental.
