Postcard from Hell

All my son wanted to do was send a postcard from Hell to our home so he would have a souvenir. We went on a Jeep Excursion around island and stopped in Hell. He purchased a post card and stamp from the store and the worker told him to fill it out and drop it in the basket. It has been 2 weeks and we still haven't seen it come though the mail. Anyone have any idea how long this can take. We didn't take it the to the Hell post office (if there is such a thing) as we were instructed to leave it at the store. There were like 20 other post cards in the basket. This has been very frustrating for him. Everyday he goes to the mailbox and comes in the house disappointed. UGH.

Any insight?

We sent our's on Wed, Dec 21 and it arrived two weeks later on the Wed or Thu which I think is pretty good considering the holidays.

I'm curious if there's a mail truck that picks up the post cards from there on a daily basis or if the owner of the shop compiles them daily or every other day and drops them in a real mailbox or post office on the way home. :)

Did you mail them at the store or at the Hell Post Office?

If you gave them to the store owner, they probably walked across the parking lot (or next door if you were at the other store) to the post office and put them in the mail box at the end of the day.

If you mailed them at the post office, that's a real post office, not just something set up for tourists... :D
