They've probably been offline for some time, even before the accident, ship webcams are very unreliable.

Costa I think have some of the best ones, Concorida's went off line when the grounding and such occured

Try here, Concordias cam has not been on for a while, and wont be.I dont think your link is working.

Here is a web cam from Giglio. Its not daylight yet, the Costa is to the left in the dark currently. Heartbreaking to see this have happened to so many.

Yes we all know where she is, and it is devastating news for everyone, both those involved with the ship and elsewhere......but I have a webcamera vision showing a night time view from the front of the ship and one from the aft of the ship, labelled 16 Jan 2012 (today) at 3:36 UTC in a position as 2km S of Palma de Mallorca near Spain.

 

Can I ever trust Shipwatcher again to give me the correct info after seeing this ?

Not only is the webcam bogus but when you google Costa Concordia they still are showing ------

Truth in advertising is alive and well at Costa. ;)

It is unlikely Costa will have anything to do with Concordia again. At the moment it is under the authority of the Italian maritime associates, and the insurers will take over ownership of her once it reaches that point. My guess is that Costa could not switch off a light without permission.
