Airport Transfers In Anchorage

We will be arriving in Anchorage late afternoon and have booked a room at the Howard Johnson Plaza. Can anyone help with suggestions for transfers from the airport to our hotel? The hotel does not offer that service.

Just take a taxi. The fare should be under $25.

There will be 8 of us so that might run into some money.

Call the taxi companies to find out if they have a vehicle for small groups .....

If you're heading to a ship the next day, check the cost of renting 2 cars at the airport then drive yourselves to the ship. 2 cars might be cheaper than 8 transfers.

LOL. Actually since taxis are based more on mileage than the number of passengers, it might be the cheapest option. Two taxis with 4 each is only +-$50. Probably the cheapest option besides public transit.

Will check with the taxi company. Wasn't sure we could all fit into 2 taxis with all the luggage we will have. All of us will each have an extra large suitcase along with all of our carry on things.

The taxis up here are an assortment of vehicles, including SUVs, station wagons, and mini vans. Chances are you'll find one or two able to take your expedition's supplies to the HoJo base camp!
