Dinner in Cape Canaveral pre cruise

Hi all. We are staying at the Country Inn & Suites pre cruise this Friday. YEAH!!! :D Anyway, does anyone know how far it is to get to Rusty's or Fishlips for dinner? Or can someone recommend another maybe closer restaurant. I do not want fast serve as I will be on vacation. We will not have a car. So either walking distance or taxi service. Any help or advise will be greatly appreciated.

You do not want to walk to Rusty's or FishLips or any of the other restaurants in the Cove. No shoulder, no street lights, lots of traffic. Take a taxi. Maybe $5 each way. Or you CAN walk out to Astronaut Blvd, turn right and go down just past the Radisson to Zachary's. It's a Greek/American place with good food. http://www.zacharysrestaurant.com/

 

Kelsey's, just a little further down, has decent pizza and they do deliver.

We went to Fishlips and loved it. Take a taxi though.

I've been wanting to ask this question myself. I'm glad you posted. We are staying at the Country Inn and Suites in March for our cruise on the Sensation. This is our first time sailing out of Port Canaveral.

Unless you rent a car taxi's are the best bet for getting to the cove area (Fishlip's, Rusty's, Grill's, Milliken's Reef) restaurants. If you want to do any exploring further down the highway (Cocoa Beach and more) just rent a car. There is a Hertz in the parking lot of the Marriott Residence Inn next door to the Country Inn & Suites.

If you like Italian food there is a place called Kelsey's about a 10 minute walk away. We went at the recommendation of the locals working at the Country Inn & Suites front desk. It was pretty good (we had the spaghetti and meatballs), would definitely go again.
