Ketchikan Amphibious Tour

I found out about this Duck (DUKW) tour via the Internet. It sounds and looks (their website has a video) quite interesting.

 

I was wondering if anyone had taken the tour and what they thought of it?

Took the Duck tour. Had a great time and enjoyed every minute. You should know that it is not an army duck(dukw) but a custom built amphibious truck. Really a lot of fun.

took the tour and thought it was a waste of time and money ---how many fish canneries can you see from the water and still fake an interest

We also took the Duck tour and thought it wasn't worth the money. Drove you around town just a little and then in the water for a little while. Really didn't see or learn anything interesting!

We never saw a fish cannery - not one. Saw a lot of the town with a very good guide and loved the tour of the water going very near the anchored ships. Loved it and booked it for our cruise in Hawaii.

also on our tour it ralined which is to be expected in ketchikan but the tarp cover leaked and the plastic windows fogged up ---aside from that it still was a waste of time and money

Took this tour, the weather was perfect that June, very sunny in Alaska while it was cold and rainy in NJ. The tour was fun, we saw many eagles and our guide was excellent.
