Need advice on one-way Eruope fares

Hi -

 

We're leaving on May 1 for Golden Princess repositioning cruise San Juan - New York and I'm already thinking about next year's cruise!!!

 

Does anybody have any suggestions on cost effective way to fly either to or from Europe one-way on a repositioning cruise? I was originally going to take the Golden Princess from New York to London but couldn't find any reasonable one-way flights.

 

Any advice?

Where in the US are you based?

 

One option that some people have had success with is booking Aer Lingus directly on their website. They do cheap one-way fares.

 

Alternatively, wait for a fare sale and pounce on a cheap return. Only use the outbound. Throw the return half away. (Must do it that way around.)

I am interested in this information as well, I will check out Aer Lingus. Does anyone else have suggestions.

We're thinking of doing two transatlantics - one from US to London (or Barcelona) in the spring, and the reverse back in the fall. That way we can actually use both flights on a round trip ticket.
