What To Do In Nassau With 6 Ships At Port

When I checked cruisett.com, Ecstasy wasn't listed for my cruise dates either. But I checked cruisetimetables.com as someone here suggested and all the ports of call are listed as expected!

Thanks, I did that too - but only after I posted and then couldn't figure out how to delete my posting, LOL.

Okay, Ecstasy is missing from the 2012 schedule on cruisett (hmmmm.....)

Instead of checking Ports, I checked Ships and found that Ecstasy is listed as being in Cozumel for my dates...and we're actually in Bahamas. So, somewhere along the way something got messed up. LOL. Maybe they just listed the wrong ship name for the trips, who knows...

I've been to worse ports. I think you just have to go with the expectation that you'll make it work (whether that means staying on the ship or going on an excursion). I know for myself, I love cruising & I'm not gonna let something I have no control over, ruin part of the experience.

Torchd, you do make a good suggestion though, that it probably isn't a bad idea to check out how many ships will be in port before making your reservations. Never thought about doing that ahead of time but I might think about it now.

I posted a response to some of the posts on the first page, only to realize after posting that there's a whole second page :o - so if my previous post seems like it came out of nowhere, its because I was responding to the first page. (I always forget to check for a second page!)

I had booked the blue lagoon excursion right after we booked teh cruise, before I found CC and got educated about some of these other websites. Now it looks like we're in Nassau with six other ships, including a couple of real big ones.

I hope I can find a place to sit on that island.

Shouldn't be an issue...that place is capacity controlled pretty well. probably will feel less crowded than the public beaches...

People are over the top about Atlantis and pretty underwhelmed with the ships tours that are also pretty short for being in port til 11pm. Lots of people have booked resorts to have amenities - pool, bar, food etc.

If we aren't high dollar shoppers or casino goers does Atlantis have anything we might want to do? Not into dolphin swimming or any other Disneyesque water parks.

Of all our research - is there a beach that we could taxi to that safely has other people on it, that also might have some snorkeling?

Just want some sunshine and fish watching...

Thanks for any assistance.
