We were booked to go on the Concordia in April and are so sorry for all involved in this awful tragedy.

I just had a call from our travel agent who has informed us that we will now be transferred on to the Costa Romantica which has just been refurbished. We don't have a date yet but are fortunate that we are retired and flexible with dates and as we live in Spain and we were due to join the cruise in Barcelona so no flights involved. It is going to be more difficult for those at work who have to arrange time off and also to get flights changed etc.

The Romantica .... now called Neo Romantica is still in Dock at Savona having that refit! we have pictures of it from the air on 22nd December and it looked anything but completed.

Well they are now transferring passengers up to 26th March but they didn't say from when. We are not due until April although that could be changed. Doesn't give me much confidence from what you say.

The neoRomantica will begin its first cruise following restyling on or about 20 February.

gill ... I forgot to say that they can do a lot of work in just a few weeks and so the ship will i am sure be ready, and if Capricruiser does not know then no one does LOL.

Thank you, I am sure it will be safe, just concerned that we might be surrounded by workmen still trying ti finish the jobs.

gill ... if the pictures of how it will look are anything to go by you will be cruising on an almost New ship ... :)
