A4 GTY questions

Oceania newbie here......I just booked the Marina for the TA / western med. b2b.....I went with an A4 concierge GTY - for both legs. I'm wondering about possibility of upgrades/upsells? Anyone have experiences to share? Also, am I able to purchase an upgrade if I end up not getting the cabin I want?

The upsell fairy can be very busy or not depending on how the cruise is selling

If you really want a specific cabin or an upgrade just book it now

We had an A4 forward and were fine even during rough seas but I don't get seasick. You are subject to pitching but the cabins are very quiet. If the ship rolls, everyone feels it. I was in a rear cabin visiting and felt a lot of vibrations which is common. I don't really think midship location is all that important. Save the money. You may be fortunate and get a good deal on an upsell to a suite as friends of ours had. My experience with free upgrades for the most part will get you a different location in the concierge level meaning going from an A4 to a higher A category.
