Liberty of the Seas -Cabin Question

Recommended Posts

Hi there, E2 Cat # 6642 is this in the hump? Seems to be by the pics, any advice on these balconies? Is this Cabin PORT side??

Will the view be blocked at all? Is this a good choice for midship, or are the other balconies better?

Thanks want to do the Med so don't want a bad view.

Yes, 6642 is in the hump. It's one cabin aft of the center hump, so you will have a great view aft. Yes, it is port side.

Just look at the deck plans on Royal Caribbean's website:

We sailed on Liberty's sister ship, Independence, and had cabin 8338 which is two decks above but has a similar location, look at the chart posted by Carol (MM). Pictures -

room between the balcony door and bed, a benefit of the hump.

The hump extends out from other cabins.

Thanks for posting and sharing your photos of 8338, we're in this cabin on Liberty in May.

I acknowledge that this room is a we bit larger and has a great view…However I have to ask, what about the noise coming from the hallway!? The hump rooms are all located at the aft elevators, with no wall between the open central space and your door…So if you are on a lower deck, like 6, I think there would be whole lot of people traffic passing by your room hence making noise…Or am I wrong, could be that I am sensitive to this, as the quietest of noise in my neighborhood would keep me awake.

I am not sure about the noise, I did do some reading yesterday and it said there is a wall between and that it's the business services area so should be quiet at night. Guess I will find out as I JUST BOOKED IT..WOOOHOOO

You never hear machinery/elevator noises in the Voyager/Freedom humps. If noisy fellow passengers walk down the hallway you will hear them but that is true of any cabin in a corridor.

We have had four humps now and always prefer them for the proximity to elevators. And on some ships there is more room between the bed and the sliding door to the balcony which makes it easier to maneuver in that area. This is the case with the Freedom type and Navigator/Mariner 2nd gen Voyager ships.
