Rare taxatty Posted January 25, 2012 #2 Share Posted January 25, 2012 It's definitely worth it, even if you just stroll down the main streets/historic area--beautiful buildings, nice shops and restaurants, and a good art museum as well. The Rick Steves Provence book has a nice section on Aix. If you drive, there is a lot next to the Aix train station with plenty of spaces that's a 10-15 minute walk to the main tourist area. Rare Hlitner Posted January 25, 2012 #4 Share Posted January 25, 2012 When we are anywhere near Aix (we have taken quite a few extended driving vacations in the south of France) we will drive over to Aix just to take a stroll and enjoy lunch on the charming Cours Mirabeau. A half day in this city if fine, af full day is better :) Hank
