Sharing tables in MDR for Breakfast

Definitely request it, we had our first dining room breakfast with a group, and my DH sat waiting for food because everyone else had ordered a lot more food and courses. After that, we always proactively requested and received a table for 2.

I've noticed they often just start escorting people to group tables but if you speak up (no explanation required), saying "Please can we have a table for 2."

Every cruise I've been on yes, and to EVERYONE, no need to do suite for this plus. I never understood why people loved the buffet and a stack of bacon, stacked up frenchtoast, etc. etc. when you can sit down order many choices and have it come cooked to order. In some ways breakfast and lunch are better as the kitchen volumn is so much less than dinner.

Maybe its the china and cloth napkins but even the hamburger and fries my son gets tastes better!

Is/are the MDRs available at breakfast or lunch for everyone, or only to suite pax?
