Becks200200 Posted January 26, 2012 #4 Share Posted January 26, 2012 Grrrr. This: We got into a lifeboat and were taken to Giglio but even there things were not much better as no-one gave us a hot drink or a blanket for ages. Yes, things were a great deal better love. And, the 900 people of Giglio weren't expecting 4000 extra people that night or I'm sure they'd have set up a much better welcome.
erisajd Posted January 27, 2012 #5 Share Posted January 27, 2012 How can anyone claim that these are 'Titanic' like images when there are no images from when the Titanic sunk? How do you know what it looked like on board? It is a an assumption - pure and simple. The people who survived Titanic got off EARLY - there was no panic and no craziness seen in their stories because they survived - meaning they did not see any of it. . . . Smurfette&Trojan Posted January 27, 2012 #6 Share Posted January 27, 2012 I don't think a bigger ship makes a better ship. I prefer the smaller 90s style to cruising. It seemed more intimate. The Oasis doesn't appeal to me. Personally, I want less people on my vacation, not more.

It's sensationalism, and the media love it. Because a ship sinks, of course it is exactly like the Titanic, you know, because of course 1500 people died on the Costa Concordia, and the Concordia fully sank. The only thing in common is that it was a passenger ship.
