Horrible accident off Hana Highway

My husband and I were on the POA with family from Dec. 3-10, 2011. We went on The Road to Hana tour and the guide warmed us all day long about being careful where we walked etc. Here is a linkt o a news story about a woman who died hiking near this road. She is from a city 15 minutes from where we live. I was so sad to read this.

I am not posting this because I like sad stories...but posting this as yet another warning of the dangers that exist and the need to be very careful in places like this. Really broke my heart to read about this.

That's awful....unfortunately, folks don't heed warnings in many places....look how many folks underestimate the Grand Canyon's dangers, or Yellowstone's....these are wild and dangerous places....and waterfalls are one of nature's danger spots! I think folks think that because they're in a "vacation spot", that it's some sort of "Disney magic" or something!
