Please tell me about this hotel. I am thinking of booking it for our pre-cruise stay. Are there good places to eat nearby? And is there a CVS or some other place we can buy soda and wine before our cruise?

Nice hotel with some rooms offering a view of the port - a great view to start your cruise vacation. :D This hotel and the next door Doubletree are favorites on these boards.

 

Shopping for last minute items, wine, soda, etc. available in the covered area connecting the two hotels and some of the nearby condo buildings. The bar/restaurant in the lobby of the Doubletree is very good with other local dining options within 2 blocks.

Probably the nicest hotel I've had the pleasure of staying at. And I've stayed in quite a few.

 

No places to eat nearby that I saw, or a CVS. But a cab ride down to South Beach there are plenty of Walgreens and CVS and plenty of places to eat.

Loved this hotel!!

 

We ventured a few blocks north (10 minute stroll) to a deli-type eatery on Biscayne Blvd. Fabulous food!! Lots of locals eat here. http://www.thedailycreativefoodco.com/directions.htm

I already read somewhere on the boards that there is a Sports bar in the hotel next door and an Irish Restaurant in the area that was recommended by others. Something to check into also.
