Transportation from Ft. Lauderdale airport to Miami Cruise

We're considering flying into Ft. Lauderdale airport, but our cruise leaves out of Miami. Is there an easy, inexpensive way to get from the airport to the port of Miami? I'm thinking the cost savings won't be worth it, but want to be sure.

SAS (www.ridesas.com), QLS and Go Airport shuttle are popular on these boards and will transport you from FLL and area hotels to POM for about $15+ per person each way (yes - they can get you back to FLL after your cruise).

 

Taxi for the same 40+ minute ride will cost you $85+ :eek: Many rent cars one way with a drop at either MIA airport or downtown Miami (both Avis and Hertz have locations close to POM).

 

Please be a smart cruiser and fly in at least one day early. :cool:

Just my 2 cents.....

QLS worked very well for us for FLL to PoM and back again. Yes! a day in advance is worth it for peace of mind. We're flying in 2 days early this time becasue we had such a much better flight price. Oh darn and extra day on vacation :) m--
