janetz Posted February 4, 2012 #1 Share Posted February 4, 2012 Hello everyone. We are looking to try Regent. We are seeing 2 for 1 advertised and would like to know how that works. Is the price I am seeing for 2? I assume not. What is the deal? Thanks ahead. :)
Wendy The Wanderer Posted February 4, 2012 #2 Share Posted February 4, 2012 No, alas, the prices are listed per person. The "2-for-1" price seems to be the standard now, although often prices go up as dates approach, depending on the popularity of the sailing. Note that most of these prices include economy airfare, and a hotel the night before the cruise. Both these items can be waived for a credit against the total fares--the hotel is rarely worth it, in my opinion.
bahrain_not_dubai! Posted February 4, 2012 #3 Share Posted February 4, 2012 This pricing isn't limited to Regent in anyway, but what it basically is is fantasy brochure fares which cruise lines never charge being put in a brochure, and then they basically say they'll let two passengers travel for that brochure fare by making the per person fare half of that... so it's really nothing special, as other than P&O, I have never come across a cruise line that prints brochure fares which are reasonable. esimon Posted February 4, 2012 #4 Share Posted February 4, 2012 talk to a good TA they will explain everything -- Regent is expensive but alll inclusive and a good deal depending on where you want to cruise. Doesn't cost anything to ask.
janetz Posted February 4, 2012 Author #5 Share Posted February 4, 2012 Thank you everyone. When you figure in all the extras on a cruise, and the cost of suites, the all inclusive cruises can be a little more, but so much better. :)
