Bringing beer onboard

In the Mix on the Maasdam we were greeted with this lovely sight. Horray!!

May not be exactly what I really enjoy but it's better than Bud and Bud Light.

 

Would be nice though if HAL changed it's beer policy to match it's wine policy.

Last summer we were able to bring beer on that we bought in Juneau from Alaska Brewing Company...never had any problems.

 

So, you bought beer in Juneau and were allowed to bring it on the ship and enjoy it in your room? I hope so, my husband will love that.

Give it a try. If it gets confiscated at security, plan accordingly.

My experience is, that when you board, don't pack beer. It will be taken from you. However, if you are in certain ports, the staff will be a little more relaxed about it, especially if you run when you are sent to the security table. They really don't want to chase you. Just saying.:)
