Bus 76 in Stockholm

Bus 76 is very useful for passengers docked in Frihamnen or Värtahamnen ports. But it is not possible to pay the driver when you board the bus, you need tickets before you walk to the bus stop.

Tickets can be bought at the quay in a little info kiosk, at least that was the case at Frihamnen port during previous years. Travel during one hour within the inner city costs 36 kronor. Or you can buy a coupon strip that costs 200 kronor, and can be used by more than one person for eight one hour journeys. Should you need more tickets later they can be bought at Metro stations or service shops like Pressbyrån or 7-Eleven.

Here is a link to a map where you can see bus 76 in relation to the ports and the main sights in Stockholm: http://maps.google.se/maps/ms?msid=200939608343314501629.000448dadb8bebb56f079&msa=0

Also, what is the name of the stop for the Vasa museum.

Its "Djurgårdsbron" (Djurgården bridge) and the stop names are in order:

Frihamnen

Frihamnsporten

Lindarängsvägen

Filmhuset

Oxenstiernsgatan

Radiohuset

Berwaldhallen

Djurgårdsbron

Does the driver call out the stop names?

Yes. And the general rule is, as soon as you can see the bay you should get off.

Here is a map of the bus lines:

Thank you very much. Is there more than one way on to the bus? I know a lot of buses have have a middle door. I just wondered which one would be easier with a wheelchair.

Thanks so much for the detailed maps!!!

Does the street level photo represent the pin marked F in the other map?

Our ship will be docking at F638. Is that where we will wait for the bus?

Thanks again for all your help.

On Google street view:

- you rotate the mouse wheel to go to map view.

- you hold the left mouse button down and move the mouse, or use the arrows on the keyboard, to look around

- you click on the circle or the arrows to move around

On Google map view you grab the yellow figure under the compass and move it to a blue line the map (lines coming up once you have grabbed the figure) to go to street view.

Thank you soo much for the maps!!:)

I know that i have to take station "Ropsten" near Frihamnen, but wht's the best bus station in center of Stcokholm? ;)

Thank you!!

It depends on where you are going/what your first destination is.

For Vasa get of at Djurgårdsbron, for Gamla Stan get of at Slottsbacken and for the shopping area get off at Kungsträdgården.
