LLOYD Werft, the German repairer, is rumoured to have brought to an end its offer of cheap berthing for the idle cruise liner Norway...

so they either need to pay more, move it or work out an agreement as part of the Pride of America. I still don't know if the Depatment of Transportation has released it after the boiler explosion.

Do I sound surprised? I thought they would kick them out weeks ago...

Must be one of the great non-stories of the year. So long as there was a chance that Star might repair the ship - and therefore Lloyd Werft get a lucrative contract - it would have been worth their while to be geneous about berthing charges. Now that the poor ship is going off to a fate unknown, the shipyard doesn't exactly have any reason or incentive to give any more, particularly as they're still in receivership (as I understand it).
