Is this the best dock to eb at? Can you walk from port to town? Anything near the port to see?

Town is about three miles away. On our last two visits we went down the road to Puerta Maya (Carnival dock) and had a great lunch at Panchos Back Yard. The shops there are much nicer than at the International Pier. It is about a ten minute walk max.

Like Scotty said, not too much at the International Pier..

 

Town has a few things and a market and such, but it's a long nasty walk with limited sidewalks disappearing to roadway and construction... take a cab or take your chances. :p

When I was there is January, Millennium was sharing the pier with Oasis.

 

There is a shopping area around the neighboring pier. I did not attempt to walk from one area to the other but it is not a great distance.
