X on hump balcony?

I wrote the thread back in 2012 before I sailed on the Silhouette in a hump veranda cabin. We were on deck 6. It was a good location behind the mid-ship elevators. The veranda was clear. The cabin was good. We only heard noise from the grand foyer. At times, it was very annoying. I always bring earplugs just in case the noise keeps me awake. The Grand Foyer noise never went past 10pm. Since then I have been on the slant hump deck 6 near the forward elevators. That was ideal....large veranda and always quiet. When picking a cabin type and location, look at the whole deck plan to see what is near (above, below, and next to) your cabin. The worst cabin that we ever had was deck under the pool. We paid a premium to have people walking over us day and night. Big mistake.
