Just got my upsell call- and I declined

I am sailing on March 1st on the Destiny. I paid $588 total for 2 people for an interior on the Lido deck. They called to do an upsell. They said $220 total I could have an unobstructed balcony on the Lido.

That would be $808 total.

I did not take it. I would rather have several beverages for that price :p

I would have....just upgraded to balcony from OV for $130, so from inside to balcony for $220 is good deal.

We were on the Destiny in July, some of our party splurged and got a balcony cabin, they were disappointed. The balcony is narrow and they felt it wasn't worth the extra they paid.

From interior to balcony for 18.50 a day pp (assuming it is a 7 day cruise) is a pretty good deal. We'd have probably taken it also.

I would have jumped at that, except for the fact that I always book a balcony.

 

I am one of THOSE that will probably never go back to anything but a balcony, there is nothing like waking up at any hour and walking out my balcony door.

 

Different strokes for different folks. But I am sold on Balconies.
