purplebutterflychick Posted February 21, 2012 #1 Share Posted February 21, 2012 First I would like to say thank you in advance for any help you fine folks can give me. Three friends and I have plans to drive down and spend one night in Ft. Lauderdale before leaving on our 1st cruise on March 4th. We thought we had the hotel arrangements figured out but they fell through. I have looked and see that some hotels offer shuttle service to the port but most of those seem to be for people who have flown down. Does any one know of a hotel that would allow us to park our vehicle at the hotel and use the shuttle or would it be just as simple to drive to the port ourselves and park there? We had originally planned to stay at a hotel and the park at the port but I'm wondering which way you think would be more cost effective. We don't need a fancy hotel just one that is clean and safe. Thanks again for any help you can give on sure short notice.
JohninDC Posted February 21, 2012 #2 Share Posted February 21, 2012 Check www.stay123.com and www.parksleepfly.com for hotels offering cruise parking deals. If a shuttle is not included, taxis are not that expensive between the FLL area and PE. Good luck! :)
purplebutterflychick Posted February 22, 2012 Author #3 Share Posted February 22, 2012 Thank for the suggestions. I checked them out but ended up but ended booking a hotel about an hour and half north of Ft. Lauderdale and we will park at the port. Thanks again for the info. sscottcruiser Posted February 22, 2012 #4 Share Posted February 22, 2012 Just as a quick reply, we stay at he Springhill Suites just south of the port. They have a free shuttle to the port and you can park there for free during your cruise. Works out great for us.
