Free Water Packages for North Americans?

Somewhere buried in these boards I saw a fleeting post about North American travelers being given a free water package on the MSC Med cruises. Anyone know if that's true and if so, the details? When would you find out about all of that?

Yeah, it's true but you have to book your cruise in the USA with MSC USA. South Americans, Europeans, Asians, and everyone else including North Americans living overseas are second class citizens because we have to pay for bottled water.

We were given 7 day, 1 Lt water voucher per day for each cabin in the very first day in both east and west med. If you get this voucher, save it for the MDR as there are water dispensers in the buffet during lunch. Caribbean were all you can drink tap water with ice in the MDR. I am not sure about northern Europe as we plan to goto the baltic next year.

 

BTW, the free water vouchers will be printed on your boarding pass. So you will find out a week or two before you board.
