Gym on the Victory

I've searched the "Special Interest Cruising - Fitness, Spa, and Sports", but I can't find anything on this. Does anyone know if the gym on Carnival Victory has straight bars with weights that I can put on the bar for my workout? The Legend did, but then Freedom did not, which for me was super disappointing. The Freedom didn't even have a Smith machine for doing squats. Thanks for any help you may have!

google: "pictures of Carnival Victory gym". You'll see dumbbells and then there is a pic of stacks of weights.

BTW, I doubt many ships, if any have Smith machines for squats, there's not a whole lot of room in these spaces and they tend to fill them with more popular items. Should be some sort of legg press machine; not ideal but suitable. If you're not in "competition", there's enough equipment for fitness maintenance work. Besides, it's a vacay and rest/alt exercises will do your body good.

As far as the myth that working out or taking stairs will work off those nightly melting chocolate cakes and daily forages through the Lido buffet...it's a myth; unless, of course, you're in the gym from 6A-10P daily.
