Craigdarroch Castle

Recommended Posts

Best way to get there? Their website says "We are only a short drive or a leisurely walk from Victoria's inner harbour". Any info is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

BOth statements are correct. it's about 13 blocks uphill slightly with steeper grade at the end.

I would take a cab.

City bus will pick you up in front of the cruise terminal #31 (don't even cross the street), take you downtown, where you can transfer to an #11 or #14 (the 14 runs more often) which goes up Fort St and drops you a block and a half from Craigdarroch. $2.50/ea. http://bctransit.com/

We have been there twice, I guess it is all opinion what a leisurely walk is, I am an avid daily walker, we drove.

Thanks for the information. While we do walk it can at times be difficult for us so I think we we try the bus or cab. Thanks again.

I would hope that Puffinater realizes that while Craigdarroch is marketed as a "castle" it is really just a large mansion and not a castle.

As indicated in my original post I reviewed the website before I even posted the question. We have done Buchart twice and we are just looking for easy to do things to fill the day.
