marving9999 Posted March 4, 2012 #1 Share Posted March 4, 2012 We will be flying into Copenhagen in May prior to our Baltic Cruise. I'm sure at the airport we will need to show our passports to immigration. When we take the train to Malmo for a day, will we need to take our passports with us? Please advise Marvin & Judy
Danish viking Posted March 4, 2012 #2 Share Posted March 4, 2012 No but it always good to have ID (drivers licence) just in case.

There are no checks between Denmark and Sweden, and passports are not required for travel between Nordic countries, but theoretically, passport-free travel between the Nordic countries is limited to citizens of the Nordic countries. As a non-Nordic citizen, you should bring your passport, although it is quite unlikely that you will be checked.
Danish viking Posted March 4, 2012 #4 Share Posted March 4, 2012 I forgot to to take the non EU citizenship into consideration, but i have never seen any kind of border control when i have taken the ferry or train over.
