Michelle82 Posted March 7, 2012 #1 Share Posted March 7, 2012 We always take wine and bottled water on our cruises. We tag the water along with our luggage and it arrives at our cabin with no problem. We carry the wine on. This is our first time in Alaska and we picked the cruisetour that has the land tour first. We fly into Anchorage the day before, then the next morning we take a bus to McKinley stay overnight and then the next morning we go to Denali for two nights. Then we take a bus directly to the dock in Whittier. Does anyone know where we can shop for wine and bottled water in Anchorage near the hotel that Princess puts you in ? Are we allowed to take the water and wine with us on the land portion ? We think the only possible chance to buy the wine and water would be our first night in Anchorage. Thanks. CruiserBruce Posted March 7, 2012 #2 Share Posted March 7, 2012 No reason to bring water on. The quality of the water on board - both in purity and taste- is about the best you can get.

If you're staying at the Captain Cook Hotel (the usual Princess Hotel), there's a great Liquor Store right accross the road from the front door.
