puggylicious Posted March 8, 2012 #1 Share Posted March 8, 2012 I was talking with someone today that told me when she went on Royal Caribbean 3 years ago they bought drink tickets. She said you could buy them at the beginning of the cruise and redeem them for drinks. I've been cruising on Royal Caribbean for many years and I don't remember these. Does anybody know what this person was talking about?

cb at sea Posted March 8, 2012 #4 Share Posted March 8, 2012 They are common on Carnival....not on RCI, unless it was some sort of "special" group cruise!
willco Posted March 9, 2012 #5 Share Posted March 9, 2012 I think there was a time years ago where you could order drink certificates as a gift. I sent some to a friend going on her first cruise. I haven't seen anything like that for a while.
LaShelle2 Posted March 9, 2012 #6 Share Posted March 9, 2012 I recall purchasing a drink booklet for my son on NCL last year. There were about 1-15 coupons for any non alcoholic drink or smoothie. He loved it. The price was really reasonable too.

audome78 Posted March 9, 2012 #8 Share Posted March 9, 2012 2003- Empress of the Seas- they sold a punch card for any mixed drinks. You paid for maybe 10, and got 12 punches, so there was a discount.
sailingawaysoon Posted March 9, 2012 #9 Share Posted March 9, 2012 I wish we had drink coupons. Never seen that on any Royal cruises, but have heard about it on Carnival. I'd do it just to get some of the expense of the drinks out of the way before I cruise. That's the part of the seapass I hate seeing!
