Glamourgal Posted March 10, 2012 #1 Share Posted March 10, 2012 We noticed that Carnival has not posted any cruises for the Carnival Pride out of Baltimore past April 2013. Does anyone know when more cruises will be added or why they do not go past April 2013??

JessC510 Posted March 10, 2012 #4 Share Posted March 10, 2012 I recall reading somewhere that the Pride was going into dry dock from spring 2013 until November 2013. Unfortunately, I can't remember where I saw it if it wasn't CC

fritolayNY Posted March 11, 2012 #6 Share Posted March 11, 2012 We noticed that Carnival has not posted any cruises for the Carnival Pride out of Baltimore past April 2013. Does anyone know when more cruises will be added or why they do not go past April 2013?? Was thinking the same thing. And it's scheduled to only go to Florida, and the Bahamas. This year for a week in April and in the fall it also goes to Grand Turk. Maybe they are working with their contract with the cruise terminal in Baltimore. Carnival_Brides Posted March 11, 2012 #7 Share Posted March 11, 2012 I wonder if they are trying to open up more itineraries? At the Hasbro game trials I asked JH and the beards about expanding it past Freeport and Nassau, since the other line that uses Baltimore is able to do Canada and other ports of call in seven days. Carnival and Baltimore have a contract that doesn't expire until 2015 (?), so I don't think there are contract negotiations happening.
JessC510 Posted March 11, 2012 #8 Share Posted March 11, 2012 That would be one long dry dock. Have not heard anything like that My bad then, I'm sure I'm getting it confused with something else--I think I need to start spending some time away from the computer! Glamourgal Posted March 11, 2012 Author #9 Share Posted March 11, 2012 Thanks everyone...I will just continue to check from time to time. I just love the early booking discount!! I could understand it going in to dry dock but hopefully not for that long!!
PA Dutchman Posted March 11, 2012 #10 Share Posted March 11, 2012 Maybe the Pride is going in for extensive drydock like the Destiny and they will call it Carnival Blue crab :D:D

We are going on the Pride on June 3 and one of our stops is Grand Turk. Guess it's going there a bit longer than April and then in the fall. I hope it keeps going out of Baltimore, looking forward to more trips on her already! :D

Glamourgal Posted March 12, 2012 Author #14 Share Posted March 12, 2012 Wow...Lots of people hearing lots of different things I guess we just need to stay tuned!! Carbri, we went on the Pride out of Baltimore to Turks and it was wonderful...make sure when you get off the ship instead of going to the left at the end of the pier to Margaritaville, go right on the beach...keep walking and you will come to tons of cleaned conch shells laying all over the beach...we brought 4 of them back home with us...great find!! cobianlover Posted March 12, 2012 #15 Share Posted March 12, 2012 The Pride is scheduled for it's Funship 2.0 upgrades in 2013. Also on that schedule are Destiny, Legend and Victory.
