Carnival Magic Cove Balcony

So is a cove balcony more protected from smoke coming in from next door?

 

also on the Magic, which side of the ship would you get a balcony on to enjoy looking at the islands in port?

We had a cove on Dream in 2010 and absolutely loved it! We have another booked for this October. If we're sailing on a Dream class ship, it's the only type of cabin we'll book from now on.

Loved the privacy under the boats.

Loved being so close to the water...even saw flying fish several times! :)

Ours was near mid-ship, so we loved the lack of movement (versus a higher balcony).

Loved being so close to debark area on port days.

Loved the smell of the sea and had no issues with spray.

 

I'll be in another one of these in December. I'd do it again and again.
