Scottohiocpa Posted March 14, 2012 #1 Share Posted March 14, 2012 You used to be able to put $100 on your S&S card using a slot machine. Then, you could go up to the cage with your card and they would give you the money off of your S&S card. Can you still do this, and how much has anyone done? I know I got around $70 in March 2010. goldwinger88 Posted March 17, 2012 #2 Share Posted March 17, 2012 They since changed. It might let you do it once but after that it will lock you out. Put say $100 from your sail & Sign in the machine and play at least 1-2 spins, then cash out. I had it happen to me last year. I had to see the Casino Host and politely ask him to open my S&S. I promised not to do it again..
#55worktoplay Posted March 23, 2012 #3 Share Posted March 23, 2012 I don't understand what the purpose is of depositing money and then taking it off. What are the benefits?
goldwinger88 Posted March 28, 2012 #4 Share Posted March 28, 2012 Let's say I wanted to play Blackjack, but did not have any cash on me. I would go to a Slot machine and take $100 off my S&S card to play the slots. Once I had the money in the slot machine, I would cash out from the machine, get a ticket and go get cash from the cashier. If I were to use my S&S card to get $100 for the BJ table, I get charged a percentage for the transaction.

A sign at the blackjack table points this out. IOW, you ask for $100, you get $100 cash, and your account is charged $100. Can anyone here supply current info about surcharges on other lines? Princess' policy is more than six months old, but newer than 18 months.
Scottohiocpa Posted April 4, 2012 Author #6 Share Posted April 4, 2012 Last week on the Pride there was a sign in the casino that said you could borrow up to $2,000 per day from your S&S card into your player bank. That is assuming your credit card that backs up your S&S has enough credit limit. I did charge several hundred dollars to my s&s card and then go to the cashier on two occaisions to get $15 and $20. At the end of the cruise, I cashed out the $180 remaining cash, all free of any charges. So, I can confirm that you can get cash with no fees against your credit card. How much, I don't know, but it's at least $200.
AndyTheK Posted April 18, 2012 #7 Share Posted April 18, 2012 Let's say I wanted to play Blackjack, but did not have any cash on me.I can say exactly for Princess: Sitting at the table, call a floor person over, give your cruise card and tell how much you want. They will bring you a slip to sign (just like the bar waiter does). You sign it and the dealer will give you the chips. No fee, and you do not have to set up a slot bank. Good luck. Andy.
