Putterdude Posted March 19, 2012 #26 Share Posted March 19, 2012 Interesting, I just booked a cruise out of Southampton on Princess through our usual TA, saved about $500 over Princess's online "sale" rate, received an OBC and free non-medical travel insurance....I have saved just short of $1000 so far using a TA. I say so far as I will be watching for price drops over the next few months.

This thread has been about how the UK travel agents have had their commission cut so nothing left to pass on to passengers.

This thread has been about how the UK travel agents have had their commission cut so nothing left to pass on to passengers. And 14 of the 27 posts have been from North American posters including 2 by you detailing your experience and another correcting me.
Rare Cruise Junky Posted March 20, 2012 #29 Share Posted March 20, 2012 And 14 of the 27 posts have been from North American posters including 2 by you detailing your experience and another correcting me. Did you actually read my posts? They had nothing to do with the price I paid in North America. One was about final payment dates and the other was about offering a suggestion why a UK travel agency was offering lower prices. You apparently didn't read the OPs question as they specifically asked about UK pricing

Rare Cruise Junky Posted March 20, 2012 #31 Share Posted March 20, 2012 Always defensive....what can I say. LMAO. If you're looking for a fight, I'm not biting. I pointed out that your experience of getting a discount had nothing to do with the OPs question. If you find that defensive, then shrug, whatever
