excursions on the west carribean dream

I am taking my 14 yr old twin boys on the carnival cruise out of PC on march 31st. we are going to belize , roatan, cozemel and costa maya.

trying to find the best excursions. Boys want to see the ruins, (i dont)

decided to take the plane to the marine reserve and snorkel the reef and swim with sting rays and sharks. has anyone done this excursion. I would also like to see the jungle with the boys on one the excursions. is there time to do the reef and the jungle on any of these stops

I highly recommend Chacchoben Mayan Ruins. I know the kids will love it and you might enjoy yourself as well.

The ruins that were recomended to you are a good excursion. You may enjoy them. You will be in the jungle.

In Belize take the boys cave tubing. They will love it. You float through these river caves on tubes wearing miner's lights on your head.

My boys are much younger but they loved the boat ride through the jungle and ruins at Lamanai in Belize. It's a long day, but a fantastic adventure and you can climb the ruins. There are lots of threads in the Belize forum on Lamanai.

I plan to go back to belize for a week next spring so we will do the cave tubing then. we are going to fly over to the marine reserve and snorkel on this trip

In Belize we did an atv ride thru the rainforest and cave tubing. this is a private tour and only cost 75$ each and came with a hot lunch. we used http://www.cave-tubing.com/ they were wonderful and had us back to the ship in plenty of time. my 15 yr old loved it.
