Did you book early saver rate or another? Early saver you can't downgrade your cabin.

If you did not book directly with Carnival, you probably won't be able to change directly with them.

 

In December we booked through Cruises Only (can't remember why- we usually do it ourselves) and they "own" your booking. If you want to make changes you have to go through the company that you booked with.

I booked online on Carnival's website and had to call to have my rooms changed - no edit button on mine only for dining and bed configuration.
