dacsmom Posted March 27, 2012 #1 Share Posted March 27, 2012 We are taking our first RCL cruise in February and the thing that convinced me to try RCL was the mystery dinner. I love things like this. Has anyone done this and what did you think? I love the land based mystery dinners, they are so much fun and I think it would be so much fun on a cruise. grbgmth Posted March 27, 2012 #2 Share Posted March 27, 2012 Hi dacsmom. We sis the mysxtery dinner theatre on Serenade last August. Had a blast. In fact we will do it again on FOS in Sept. Make sure to interact with the actors/actresses.
Desertbelle Posted March 27, 2012 #3 Share Posted March 27, 2012 We did it on the Freedom last November and it was fun. The food in Portifino was excellent.

Has anyone done this and what did you think? I love the land based mystery dinners, they are so much fun and I think it would be so much fun on a cruise. We had booked this last October on the Freedom. Unfortunately it was canceled because they were breaking in a new cast and they were not ready for prime time yet. Gonna have to do another Freedom cruise so we can do it.

mwebb Posted April 5, 2012 #6 Share Posted April 5, 2012 Did this in Dec 2012 on FOS and absolutely loved it! ABout $50pp. Only offered on first night and is very limited capacity, so book in advance online on RCCL web site! We booked immediately in the morning upon embarkation and were told it was close to sold out and just got on the list. When we arrived that night for the pre-Mystery cocktails we're told that they were sold out and we weren't even on list to attend. (By now we had missed our early dinner seating) They did end up accomodating us and allowed us to participate. There is a special menu of two Portofinos entree choices and wine with dinner that represented a good value for the money. Acting was kind of cheesey but still lots of fun and would very much recommend it
SoozeS Posted April 6, 2012 #7 Share Posted April 6, 2012 Even 16 year old DS enjoyed it. Started in Olive or Twist Lounge, then moved to Portofino. Food excellent, too! :)
