We'll by flying into Miami and sailing out of Ft. Lauderdale. We're active seniors who like to be on the go. We like to take in the sights and shopping is not our thing. Is there more to do and see in Miami or in Ft. Lauderdale? Thanks for any input.

I'd rec. Ft.L for you since your time is limited and transportation around Ft. L is fun using the water taxis or Sun Trolley. You didn't say what time you arrive into Miami.

Depending on where you stay in the Miami area, transportation can get expensive with cabs.

Completely agree with this! Much easier and less expensive to get around Fort Lauderdale. Depending on where you stay you can around on foot quite well, too!

I think there is more to do and see in Miami:

Zoo Miami

Miami Seaquarium

Holocaust Memorial

Vizcaya

Miami Museum of Science

Parrot Jungle

Monkey Jungle

Coral Castle

South Beach/Lincoln Rd

Jackie Gleason Theatre

Carnival Center

Adrian Arsht Center

Cuban cafeterias

beach

Fort Lauderdale has:

Water Taxi

Jungle Queen or Carrie B boat tours

Museum of Discovery

Bonnett House

Museum of Art

Broward Center for Performing Arts

beach/beachfront

Las Olas Blvd

We like FLL because of the water taxi. We fly day before but are only left with an afternoon after checking in. The water taxi is a relaxing way to tour or HO/HO for eating/shopping.

Bayside is also fun in downtown Miami if you stay close to the port.
