Ship time vs. port time

I'll be on a Fantasy 7-day western cruise in mid-October. I'm starting to think about shore excursions but I need to know whether the ship will stay on Port Canaveral/EST or change the ship's time to match the port time?

You'd do better calling DCL with this question. I think, generally, they change time to match the port time BUT NOT ALWAYS.

Can only speak from our experience. On our Panama Canal, TransAtlantic, Alaska, and Mexican Riveria cruises, we've had time changes. They put a little note on your bed with the nightly turndown, as well as mentioning it at the shows, at dinner, in the daily Navigator, as well as signs throughout the ship.

On our 2 Magic cruises we changed times. Like PP said they put notice in Navigator.

It's a simple rule: if you are sitting at an island bar enjoying your tropical drink, while watching your ship pull away from the dock, you are on the wrong time.

DCL has changed to "local" time each time we have been aboard a cruise that enters a new time zone.
