When to buy insurance?

If there is any possibility of you having an accident or someone in your family taking ill before your cruise, then you need cancellation insurance as soon as you make final payment.

If you do not need or want cancellation insurance, and only want the medical coverage, then you can wait until later to pay. Depending on the policy the price may or may not change.

The site you noted carries many different levels and brands of policies. Some are great, some not. Be sure to research more as to what the coverage includes and what you believe you need.
