Princess Transfer Seattle to Vancouver

I am sailing on Princess Dawn June 13th and flying into Seattle. I was thinking about just taking the Pricess transfer to the ship, because the price is only a couple bucks more then other transortation. But, I have heard that crossing the border can be a pain on a bus and that they make everyone exit the bus, remove all luggage,etc. for insections and immigration.

 

Any one have any experience with this? Is it faster to just rent a car and drive across?

I most always drive, but you have to have an early flight in to catch the Princess shuttle bus. Allow 4 hours any way you go. Quick Shuttle does a good job. I had to remove all luggage when I went with them.
