Glad it worked out for you and hopefully you can find the IC before your trip. :D
ooulio Posted April 18, 2012 #27 Share Posted April 18, 2012 I am trying to find a nice hotel in Miami for JAn 31 thru FEb 1. 2 nites. I really don't want to spend $300 or $400 a nite. I don't want a dump. We stayed in Miami Beach (S Beach) a few years ago. The site made a mistake . We paid $99 a nite. It should have been $1099.00 It was gorgeous. LMT is so confusing to me. I thought Galveston was hard. We just stayed there in Feb . Got that down to a tee. Now I need Miami again. We are flying into Ft Lauderdale because SW doesn't go into Miami. Any suggestions. Dont want PL again. Tried it once. That was enough.
eandj Posted April 18, 2012 #28 Share Posted April 18, 2012 Since you will be staying in the Miami area two nights, I'd look for hotels in Miami Beach/S Beach areas. Not enough to do in Miami especially without a car. You are looking at peak time. Take a look at Hotwire.com. Everything will be over $200 in walkable interesting areas, I'm sure. But you would be able to find something under $300. If you use the hotel lists provided on betterbidding.com you will be able to narrow down the possible hotels you are looking at on hotwire by their amenities, star levels and area. Know tho, that new hotels are added often in the Miami area, that won't be on the lists right away. Good luck.
Rare Lois R Posted May 23, 2012 #29 Share Posted May 23, 2012 That looks like the address with your search parameters. Try this: When you find a hotel you like from the results page, you'll see each hotel has three options: Description, Map & Directions, Photos. Place your cursor over any of those three and don't click on it. On the bottom of your screen you'll see a line pop up that begins with "javascript" and in that line is a number like "917" and that is the hotel code. Plug that number into the link I provided and it will show you what hotel it is. The Tourico companies all utilize the same hotel codes so really you're searching the main site for the hotel name that is provided on LMT. It used to be easier when you could click on the undercover hotel and it open up in a new page and you could grab the number from the address bar. Now they open as a pop-up. I hope I explained it clear enough. let us know how it works out. Hi, I have used LMT before as well and I understand your explanation but they are running a special and I can't figure out where to plug "the number" into your link......the hotel is located in downtown, next to the James L Knight Center.....4.5 stars......It is not the IC... may be the Hyatt or Hilton........would you know? Thanks:)......for Dec they have a room for $115.00......

aurelius180 Posted May 23, 2012 #34 Share Posted May 23, 2012 Oh, you are sooooooo good:D thank you!!!!!!!!!! No problem. If you do want to book don't forget to call the 800 number to do so. They will confirm the hotel name ahead of time and you can generally save more money booking over the phone. :)
