transfer Visa pts. if you must cancel your cruise

I have seen a few comments about this so I called Royal Rewards. I asked if I used points to pay some of the cruise fare and have to cancel for an insured reason, such as illness, would I get to transfer my points (payment) to another cruise. The answer was yes, either to another already booked cruise or to a new, rebooked cruise if booked within a week. Same for OBC credit.
