Beach Umbrella......

Hi there... OK,,, I admit,, this might sound ridiculous - however, we are cruising to Bermuda in July - (on Celebrity) - my husband is very sensitive to the sun (can't burn)- and we were wondering if we should bring our own beach umbrella - (figured it was easy since we do not have a flight) - I was checking web sites and most say that all the beaches have very little shade and didn't see much about umbrellas....

Any advice?

Horseshoe Bay, Bermuda's most famous beach, is a short bus ride from your where your ship will be berthed. You can rent all manner of beach-related items there, such as chairs and umbrellas. The beach also has restroom and changing facilities, and a snack bar.

Tobacco Bay also has chairs and umbrellas for rent. Make sure you both use sunscreen. Even if you sit under the umbrella, reflection of the sand and water can give you a sunburn.

We went to Costco last year and purchased a really nice Tommy Bahama Beach Umbrella. It was light and easy to set up. Worked out perfectly.

Thanks everyone - I will take all your advice.... and by the way, yesterday I was in costco and purchased a new umbrella - think i'll pack it (it's light enough) -

Seriously it worked great for us in Bermuda. Gotta love Costco!
