Sandielle Posted April 11, 2012 #1 Share Posted April 11, 2012 Just posted on ABC news An 8.7-magnitude earthquake has struck off the coast of Indonesia, sending residents around the region dashing out of their homes and offices in fear. The Pacific Tsunami Warning Centre said a tsunami watch was in effect for the entire Indian Ocean and individual countries including Thailand, Indonesia, Sri Lanka and India issued tsunami warnings. http://www.abc.net.au/news/2012-04-11/strong-quake-strikes-off-aceh/3944352 Hope none of our ships are affected. Two hours after the quake hit, however, there was no sign of the feared wave. Damage also appeared to be minimal. Source: NZ Herald. So that is good.
