softsands Posted April 11, 2012 #1 Share Posted April 11, 2012 Hello all, Booked on NCL Gem for December, out of the Manhattan cruise terminal and it appears the Gem is the only ship in port that day; we are driving to the cruise terminal and will be parking for the duration. Is parking in the garage an issue with respect to capacity, we're planning on arriving around 10am? Thanks for any feedback.
njhorseman Posted April 11, 2012 #2 Share Posted April 11, 2012 You'll have no problems. Price is $35 per day. BTW, it's an open air parking lot that's on the roof of the cruise terminal, not an enclosed garage.
softsands Posted April 11, 2012 Author #3 Share Posted April 11, 2012 Thanks for the note. I better pack a couple of snow brushes, then. And the bird poop cleaner!
Brighton Line Posted April 11, 2012 #4 Share Posted April 11, 2012 Thanks for the note. I better pack a couple of snow brushes, then. And the bird poop cleaner! Just don't park under the street lamps, if you have a starboard side balcony you can set your car alarm. See two of the three piers, NCL uses 88 for 95% of their cruises. You can just make out the cars on the roof of the piers. We just left Pier 88, Carnival will leave an hour later at 5pm Another shot looking south towards the Intrepid Air & Space Museum. You can see the last row of cars.
softsands Posted April 11, 2012 Author #5 Share Posted April 11, 2012 Cool, thanks. I've now got a visual on the parking operation. Hope I don't see my vehicle leaving the lot on sailaway!
