royalcruz Posted April 12, 2012 #2 Share Posted April 12, 2012 The convention center location on SE 17th St is the best location. It's right next to the port entrance and is surrounded by restaurants.

It's right next to the port entrance and is surrounded by restaurants. I am also looking for a place for a group of 20ppl. My friend stayed at this hotel and she loved it, she said they walked to the beach and could watch the ships etc etc. BUT theres no pool! Living in the north, Id like to have a pool to visit on my vacation....So the search is on.
Rare AFS1970 Posted April 13, 2012 #5 Share Posted April 13, 2012 There will be a pool on the ship, I can make one night without one. I have heard that the convention center was not in a great neighborhood, was that wrong or has it changed? Close to the port is always a plus. The area west of that neighborhood isn't great. The airport/cruiseport HI on State Rd 84 isn't in a great neighborhood (not too bad, but not too good either). Cruisin'Kim Posted April 24, 2012 #7 Share Posted April 24, 2012 15 of us are staying there the night before we cruise in January. We're not going to get in until about 8:00 p.m., so it will probably be dinner, a couple of drinks and bed. :)
