question about Juneau

We have one hour between tours in Juneau. Will we be able to walk into town from the ship, do shopping and get back in time for our next tour? Thanks for your help.

Iris: Yes the ships dock right downtown. What ship are you on. They also have a dock down further by the tanks at the end of the street; it is a little walk but most of the ships are right in town. You will a little time to shop. What ship and what date will you be in Juneau.

Iris: if you scroll down on pagae 1 a Brunolvr posted a thread about the Juneau cruise schedule. That may help you where the ship docks. As for shopping there are all sorts of stores there. I usually pick up xmas ornaments that has something to do with Juneau. Otherwise not knowing your tastes they have everything there. Hopefully you will have more time than 1 hour to have more shopping.:D

I purchased some fluffy white ear muffs in Juneau. They sell them in many of the stores. Do some price checking at a couple places before purchasing. I use them a lot especially on deck onboard the ship!

Princess usually docks at the Franklin dock - it is about 2 blocks (around the corner and down a block) from the DT area. Princess has a dedicated pier - they hook up their ships to Juneau's power and this saves energy and this pier was designed for that.

 

Carnival will often use their pier also.
